This band plan is the result of a joint effort between the NCPA, NARCC, and other interested parties. The NCPA does band planning and digital channel assignments within the digital segments (see Packet Band Plan).
In August 2006 the NCPA adopted the ARRL band plans for the bands above 70 cm. This is currently under negotiations with other groups (inlcuding NARCC) who are being asked to adopt it as well.
"Simplex" means FM voice unless otherwise noted.
In the 33 cm band, Amateur Radio is secondary.
